Frequently Asked Questions
How are the artworks made?
All artworks are developed in-house and produced as archival giclée prints. Each print is made to order using specialist fine-art printing facilities in the UK, EU, or USA, depending on delivery location.
We use Hahnemühle German Etching paper, chosen for its softly textured surface and ability to hold subtle tonal detail.
Are the prints original artworks?
The works are original compositions inspired by traditional Japanese woodblock aesthetics and reinterpreted through a contemporary process. They are not reproductions of historic prints.
Are the prints limited editions?
The prints offered through Yūgen Art are open editions. This allows the focus to remain on the work itself rather than scarcity or collectability.
What sizes are available?
Available sizes are listed on each product page. Options vary depending on the artwork and whether it is selected framed or unframed.
Do you offer framing?
Yes. Framed prints are available in a choice of black, white, or natural oak FSC®-certified wood frames. All framing options are listed on the product page where available.
Where are the prints produced?
Prints are produced to order at specialist fine-art print facilities in the UK, European Union, or United States, depending on your delivery location. This helps ensure consistent quality while reducing delivery time and unnecessary shipping.
How long does delivery take?
Production and delivery times are shown at checkout. As a guide:
• Production typically takes several working days
• Delivery times vary depending on location
All delivery dates are estimates, but every effort is made to meet them.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Because prints are produced to order, orders usually cannot be changed or cancelled once production has begun.
If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help where we can.
What if my order arrives damaged?
If your print arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery, including photographs if possible. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund promptly.
Do you accept returns?
As artworks are made to order, returns are only accepted in cases of damage, defects, or incorrect items. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Will the colours look exactly the same as on screen?
Colours may vary slightly due to differences in screen calibration and lighting. Every effort is made to represent the artwork accurately. Please vist our Refunds and returns page for more info
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International shipping is available, and production is routed through regional print facilities where possible to minimise transit time.
